A new tour!
1964: a mission under the ice.
Extensively restored in 2021, L’Espadon now offers a new, innovative and even more exciting tour for all visitors. Follow the trail of a secret mission to the North Pole in 1964!
You will start by walking along the quays and getting as close to the water as possible. The view is spectacular, the submarine being within reach. Lighting effects and projections reveal this mysterious object.
On board, between the main gangway, the listening post and the torpedo room, you can imagine yourself in the depths of the sea. The 65 crew members share everything: limited living space, narrow bunks, a single shower… Take part in a modern, immersive audio tour and experience the life of these submariners on a special mission as they approach the Arctic Circle… An audio tour has been specially designed for younger visitors: follow Jean, the youngest member of the crew.
